Costco is looking for a detail-oriented Bakery Wrapper to join its bakery team in Brampton, ON. In this role, you will help prepare, wrap and label baked goods while keeping the bakery area stocked, clean and ready for members throughout the day.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Bakery Wrapper, you will work behind the scenes in the bakery department garnishing products, operating wrapping equipment and organizing baked goods for display. You will follow Costco recipes and production procedures, maintain consistent product quality and provide friendly service when interacting with members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Remove baked goods from pans or baking containers and prepare them for wrapping and display.
- Garnish products with icing, glazes or toppings according to Costco formulas and department standards.
- Wrap and package baked goods by hand or using the wrapping machine; assemble pre-cut cardboard boxes for finished items.
- Weigh and label products accurately, checking for broken, underweight or defective items and removing them from sale.
- Move product using large wheeled racks and stock bakery display cases safely and efficiently.
- Monitor the bakery sales area, restock as needed and rotate stock to maintain freshness and comply with health code requirements.
- Provide prompt, courteous member service and maintain good knowledge of bakery offerings and ingredients.
- Keep the wrapping area and sales floor clean and free of debris; follow safety and security procedures at all times.
- Assist with other bakery duties and support general warehouse operations as required.
