Sobeys is looking for a Part-Time Baker to join its store in Calgary, AB (Nolan Hill location). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys food preparation, customer service, and working in a fast-paced retail bakery environment.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Baker at Sobeys, you will prepare and bake products for customer purchases while maintaining exceptional service standards. Working under the direction of the Bakery Manager, you will help ensure product freshness, department presentation and a positive shopping experience for every customer.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver friendly and professional customer service in the bakery department.
- Prepare bakery items according to Sobeys standards and customer needs.
- Bake products for customer orders and daily production.
- Maintain bakery preparation areas in a clean and hygienic condition.
- Follow baking rotation plans and ensure products are fresh and well presented.
- Operate bakery equipment safely and according to required procedures.
- Adhere to Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety guidelines and all applicable company policies.
- Support merchandising programs that enhance department sales.
- Work independently and manage time efficiently to meet production targets.
- Perform other duties as required.
