Sobeys is looking for a Full-Time Baker to join its store in Calgary, AB (Signal Hill location). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys baking, customer service and working in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Baker at Sobeys, you will prepare baked products for customer purchases while ensuring high quality, freshness and strong customer service standards. Working under the direction of the Bakery Manager, you will support production, merchandising and daily operations within the bakery department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service to meet bakery customer needs.
- Prepare baked items for customer orders and daily production.
- Maintain bakery production areas in a clean and organized condition.
- Follow product rotation plans to ensure freshness and reduce shrink.
- Operate bakery equipment safely according to Sobeys standards.
- Support merchandising programs for bakery products.
- Assist in training new team members when required.
- Adhere to Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety guidelines and all applicable company policies.
- Ensure accurate execution of recipes and department standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
