Dollarama is looking for a reliable and people-focused Assistant Team Leader to join its store in Winnipeg, MB. This role is ideal for retail employees who enjoy being on the sales floor, coordinating tasks and supporting associates while delivering great customer service.
ABOUT THE JOB
As an Assistant Team Leader at Dollarama, you will work closely with the store management team to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. You will help organize workloads, support merchandising and stock handling, and act as a point of contact for associates during their shifts. Full-time and part-time roles are available based on store needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the management team in supervising store operations and providing direction to associates on shift.
- Unpack and process daily shipments, moving merchandise from the backroom to the sales floor efficiently.
- Stock shelves and maintain product presentation in line with Dollarama planograms and display standards.
- Deliver friendly, efficient customer service and help resolve basic questions or concerns at the moment.
- Support store safety and cleanliness by monitoring aisles, fixtures and common areas throughout the shift.
- Help managers on duty with daily routines such as break planning, time and attendance follow-up and task assignment.
- Assist with basic cash-related duties when required and support opening and closing routines.
- Take part in inventory counts, stock rotation and general backroom housekeeping.
- Encourage teamwork, communication and a positive work environment among store associates.
- Follow Dollarama loss prevention procedures and promptly report any irregularities to management.
