Dollarama is looking for a hands-on and customer-focused Assistant Team Leader to join its store in Longueuil, QC. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy coordinating tasks on the sales floor, supporting associates and helping deliver a positive shopping experience in a fast-paced retail setting.
ABOUT THE JOB
As an Assistant Team Leader at Dollarama, you will work closely with the store’s leadership team to support day-to-day operations. You will help organize workloads, maintain merchandising standards, assist with stock handling and provide guidance to associates during their shifts. Full-time and part-time roles are available based on store needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Team Leader and management team in supervising store associates and daily activities.
- Help plan and prioritize tasks such as stocking, facing, price checks and promotional displays.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking and organizing deliveries in the stockroom and on the sales floor.
- Promote strong customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions and resolving concerns.
- Ensure that merchandising guidelines, planograms and signage are followed throughout the store.
- Contribute to store cleanliness, safety and general upkeep, addressing issues as they arise.
- Support cash operations by monitoring front-end activities and following cash handling procedures when needed.
- Encourage teamwork, communication and a positive work environment among associates.
- Participate in inventory counts, stock rotation and backroom organization.
- Apply Dollarama loss prevention practices and promptly report any irregularities to management.
