Dollarama is recruiting a customer-focused and organized Assistant Team Leader to join its store in Dartmouth, NS. ABOUT THE JOB
As an Assistant Team Leader at Dollarama, you will work closely with the management team to support daily store activities. You will help coordinate workloads, maintain merchandising standards, assist with stock handling and provide front-line support to customers and associates. Full-time and part-time schedules are available based on store needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Team Leader and management team in supervising store associates and providing ongoing guidance and support.
- Help organize and prioritize daily tasks, including stocking, facing, price checks and promotional setups.
- Participate in receiving and processing shipments, breaking down pallets and replenishing shelves.
- Promote strong customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions and resolving concerns promptly.
- Support the maintenance of store cleanliness, safety and overall presentation standards.
- Assist with front-end operations, including monitoring cash lanes and following cash handling procedures when required.
- Encourage teamwork and effective communication among associates during shifts.
- Contribute to inventory counts, stock organization and backroom housekeeping.
- Apply Dollarama loss prevention practices and promptly report any irregularities to management.
- Support the training and integration of new team members by reinforcing store policies and expectations.
