ABOUT THE JOB

As an Assistant Store Manager at Dollarama, you will work alongside the Store Manager to oversee daily store operations. You will help ensure that company policies are followed, that merchandise flows efficiently from the stockroom to the sales floor and that visual standards are maintained at all times. You may also act as Manager on Duty (MOD) and play an important role in staffing, training and performance follow-up.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Store Manager in planning, organizing and supervising day-to-day store activities.
  • Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) during assigned shifts, providing direction and resolving issues on the sales floor.
  • Communicate Dollarama policies, procedures and merchandising expectations to team members and monitor compliance.
  • Oversee receiving, processing and replenishing of merchandise to keep shelves full, clean and well presented.
  • Maintain planograms, signage and displays to ensure a clear and attractive shopping environment.
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding and training new associates, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Participate in opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, deposits and store security checks.
  • Respond to customer concerns in a professional, service-focused manner and offer practical solutions.
  • Contribute to inventory counts, stock organization and loss prevention initiatives.
  • Promote a safe, tidy and efficient workplace for both customers and employees.
