ABOUT THE JOB
As an Assistant Store Manager at Dollarama, you will work alongside the Store Manager to oversee day-to-day operations. You will help make sure that store policies are understood and applied, that inventory is handled efficiently from delivery to sales floor, and that merchandising standards are consistently maintained. You may also act as Manager on Duty (MOD) when required and play an active role in staffing and development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Store Manager in planning, organizing and supervising daily store activities.
- Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth operations and quick decision-making.
- Communicate Dollarama policies, procedures and merchandising guidelines to associates and monitor compliance.
- Oversee receiving, processing and replenishing of merchandise so shelves are full, clean and well presented.
- Maintain planograms, signage and product displays to provide an easy and enjoyable shopping experience.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding and training new team members.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback and support to associates to build performance and teamwork.
- Participate in opening and closing routines, including cash handling, deposits and store security checks.
- Address customer concerns professionally and offer practical solutions to service issues.
- Promote a safe, tidy and efficient work environment for both customers and employees.
