Assistant Store Manager – Dollarama, Mississauga, ON

Dollarama is recruiting a driven and organized Assistant Store Manager to join its team in Mississauga, ON. This role is ideal for retail leaders who enjoy coaching associates, coordinating store routines and helping deliver a consistent, positive experience for every customer.

ABOUT THE JOB

As an Assistant Store Manager at Dollarama, you will work closely with the Store Manager to oversee daily store operations. You will help ensure that company policies are understood and followed, that inventory flows efficiently from the stockroom to the sales floor and that merchandising standards are always maintained. You may also act as Manager on Duty (MOD) when required and support recruitment and training activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Store Manager with planning, organizing and monitoring day-to-day store activities.
  • Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth store operation and timely decision-making.
  • Communicate Dollarama policies, procedures and merchandising expectations to team members and ensure compliance.
  • Oversee receiving, processing and replenishing of merchandise to keep shelves full, clean and well presented.
  • Maintain planograms, signage and product displays to optimize the customer shopping experience.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training of new associates.
  • Provide regular feedback and coaching to employees to build performance, engagement and teamwork.
  • Participate in opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, deposits and store security checks.
  • Resolve customer concerns in a professional, service-oriented manner and provide practical solutions.
  • Promote a safe, tidy and efficient work environment for both customers and staff.
