Dollarama is looking for a results-oriented Assistant Store Manager to join its team in London, ON. This role is ideal for retail leaders who enjoy supervising staff, coordinating store routines and creating a positive shopping experience for customers.
ABOUT THE JOB
As an Assistant Store Manager at Dollarama, you will support the Store Manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations. You will help ensure that company policies are clearly communicated and followed, that inventory is managed efficiently and that merchandising standards are consistently met. You may also act as Manager on Duty (MOD) when required and play an active role in coaching and developing store associates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Store Manager with planning, organizing and overseeing daily store activities.
- Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth operation and quick problem resolution.
- Communicate Dollarama policies, procedures and merchandising expectations to team members and monitor compliance.
- Supervise receiving, processing and replenishing of merchandise to keep shelves full and well presented.
- Maintain planograms, signage and product displays so the sales floor is clean, organized and easy to shop.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training of new employees.
- Provide regular feedback and coaching to associates to build strong performance and engagement.
- Participate in opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, deposits and store security checks.
- Handle customer concerns in a professional, service-focused manner and provide practical solutions.
- Promote a safe, tidy and efficient work environment for both customers and staff.
