ABOUT THE JOB

As an Assistant Store Manager at Dollarama, you will work closely with the Store Manager to oversee daily operations. You will help ensure that policies and procedures are followed, that inventory flows efficiently to the sales floor and that merchandising standards are consistently maintained. You may also act as Manager on Duty (MOD) when required and support hiring and training activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Store Manager in planning, organizing and supervising day-to-day store operations.
  • Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) when assigned, ensuring smooth store functioning and timely decision-making.
  • Communicate Dollarama policies, procedures and merchandising guidelines to team members and ensure compliance.
  • Oversee receiving, processing and replenishing of goods to maintain appropriate stock levels on the sales floor.
  • Maintain store presentation, planograms and signage so that aisles are full, clean and easy to shop.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training of new employees.
  • Provide regular coaching and feedback to associates to build performance and engagement.
  • Participate in opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, deposits and security checks.
  • Handle customer concerns professionally and find practical solutions to service issues.
  • Promote a safe, tidy and well-organized environment for both customers and staff.
