ABOUT THE JOB
As an Electronics Sales Assistant at Costco, you will assist members in the electronics and majors area by answering questions, demonstrating products and explaining key features. You will help maintain strong merchandise presentation, restock and face product, support member returns approvals and follow department procedures to keep the area clean, secure and well organized.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide prompt, courteous member service and answer questions about electronics and major merchandise.
- Demonstrate products and explain features, helping members make informed purchasing decisions.
- Assist members with loading product to carts when needed.
- Stay current on technology trends by reviewing product materials, product reviews and learning specifications and functions.
- Communicate with the Area Manager regarding quantity, status, pricing, delivery timelines and promotion of merchandise.
- Follow merchandising standards by setting up, cleaning and maintaining displays; align and face product to the front.
- Collect and return stray items and stock merchandise to maintain high product levels.
- Check and approve product for member returns where required; make signs and verify accuracy of product signage and marking.
- Participate in merchandise moves and review stocking lists for forklift drivers to place product in aisles for replenishment.
- Maintain security item lock-up practices and clear debris from the sales floor and security lock-up areas.
- Keep the department organized and assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
