Costco is looking for an outgoing and goal-driven Marketing Road Representative to join its team in Brampton, ON. This role focuses on promoting Costco memberships in the local community, meeting with businesses and members to drive new signups and warehouse sales.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Marketing Road Representative, you will represent Costco in the field by visiting businesses, attending community events and meeting with prospective members. You will explain the value of a Costco membership, highlight Executive Membership and credit card options, and help new members complete their enrollment. This position requires regular use of a personal vehicle and strong relationship-building skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet with current and potential members in person and by phone to increase membership signups and warehouse usage.
- Canvass businesses within the assigned sales area to promote Costco membership and generate leads.
- Consult with business owners to understand their needs and present Costco products and services that can benefit them.
- Host and support on-site membership events, including setting up signup tables and collecting funds as required.
- Explain the advantages of Costco membership, including Executive Membership and credit card programs, to new and existing members.
- Use a personal vehicle to travel to appointments, road shows and business visits in the local area.
- Record daily activity, including calls, visits, signups and appointments, and maintain accurate mileage and expense records.
- Promote Costco in the community by attending local events, fairs and trade shows as assigned.
- Assist the Marketing Manager in executing the marketing plan and meeting membership growth targets.
- Provide prompt, courteous member service and handle questions or concerns with tact and professionalism.
- Support the Membership Counter and in-warehouse marketing programs when needed.
- Work towards new membership and revenue goals, including targets for Executive and credit card signups generated through road marketing.
- Work evenings and weekends as required to attend events and meet business schedules.
- Follow all safety, security and departmental procedures while performing job duties.
