Dollarama is looking for an organized and people-focused Assistant Store Manager to join its team in Windsor, ON. This role is ideal for retail leaders who enjoy coordinating daily operations, supporting associates and ensuring customers have a smooth shopping experience.
ABOUT THE JOB
As an Assistant Store Manager at Dollarama, you will work closely with the Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the store. You will help ensure that company policies are followed, that merchandise flows efficiently from the stockroom to the sales floor and that visual standards remain high. You may also act as Manager on Duty (MOD) when required and play a key role in staffing, training and performance follow-up.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Store Manager in planning, organizing and supervising daily store operations.
- Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) during assigned shifts, providing direction and resolving issues on the sales floor.
- Communicate Dollarama policies, procedures and merchandising expectations to associates and monitor adherence.
- Oversee receiving, processing and replenishing of merchandise so shelves are full, clean and well presented.
- Maintain planograms, signage and promotional displays to create an easy and attractive shopping environment.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding and training new team members, and support their ongoing development.
- Provide regular feedback and coaching to associates to strengthen performance, engagement and teamwork.
- Participate in opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, deposits and store security checks.
- Handle customer concerns in a professional, service-oriented manner and provide practical solutions.
- Contribute to inventory counts, stock organization and loss prevention initiatives.
