Dollarama is hiring a motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join its team in Vancouver, BC. This role is ideal for retail leaders who enjoy coaching associates, coordinating daily operations and helping customers enjoy a smooth and efficient shopping experience.
ABOUT THE JOB
As an Assistant Store Manager at Dollarama, you will work closely with the Store Manager to oversee store operations. You will help ensure that company policies are communicated and followed, that merchandise is received and replenished on time and that visual standards are consistently maintained. You will also act as Manager on Duty (MOD) when required and support staffing, training and performance follow-up.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Store Manager in planning, organizing and supervising day-to-day store activities.
- Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) during assigned shifts, resolving issues and keeping the store running smoothly.
- Communicate Dollarama policies, procedures and merchandising expectations to associates and monitor compliance.
- Oversee receiving, processing and replenishing of merchandise so shelves are full, clean and well presented.
- Maintain planograms, signage and product displays to ensure an easy and attractive shopping environment.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members and contribute to ongoing development.
- Provide regular feedback and coaching to associates to build performance, engagement and teamwork.
- Participate in opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, deposits and store security checks.
- Handle customer concerns in a professional, service-focused manner and provide practical solutions.
- Contribute to inventory counts, stock organization and loss prevention initiatives.
