Dollarama is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join its team in St-Lambert, QC. This role is ideal for retail leaders who enjoy supporting daily store operations, coaching associates and ensuring customers receive consistent, friendly service.
ABOUT THE JOB
As an Assistant Store Manager at Dollarama, you will work closely with the Store Manager to oversee day-to-day retail operations. You will help ensure that company policies and procedures are clearly communicated and followed, inventory counts are completed accurately and on time, and merchandising standards are consistently maintained. You may also act as Manager on Duty (MOD) and assist with recruitment and training of new team members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Store Manager in planning, organizing and supervising daily store activities.
- Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) during assigned shifts, providing direction and resolving issues on the sales floor.
- Communicate Dollarama policies, procedures and merchandising expectations to associates and monitor compliance.
- Oversee receiving, processing and replenishing of merchandise to keep shelves full, clean and well presented.
- Maintain planograms, signage and visual merchandising standards throughout the store.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding and training new associates, and support their ongoing development.
- Provide regular coaching and feedback to help build performance, engagement and teamwork.
- Participate in opening and closing routines, including cash handling, deposits and store security checks.
- Address customer concerns in a professional, service-oriented manner and provide effective solutions.
- Contribute to inventory counts, stock organization and loss prevention initiatives.
