Dollarama is hiring an enthusiastic and organized Assistant Team Leader to join its store in Montreal, QC. This position is ideal for retail professionals who enjoy coordinating daily tasks on the sales floor, supporting associates and contributing to a great customer experience.
ABOUT THE JOB
As an Assistant Team Leader at Dollarama, you will work alongside the store’s leadership team to support day-to-day operations. You will help manage workloads, assist with merchandising and stock handling, and provide guidance to associates throughout their shifts. Full-time and part-time roles are available based on store needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the management team in overseeing store operations and supporting associates on shift.
- Help with boxing, unboxing and organizing daily shipments in the backroom and on the sales floor.
- Stock products on shelves in line with Dollarama’s presentation and planogram standards.
- Deliver friendly, efficient customer service and resolve basic issues or questions on the spot.
- Contribute to store safety and cleanliness standards by monitoring aisles, fixtures and common areas.
- Support managers with daily tasks such as break planning, time and attendance follow-up and task allocation.
- Assist with cash operations when required, including supporting opening and closing routines.
- Participate in inventory counts, stock rotation and general backroom organization.
- Encourage teamwork, clear communication and a positive attitude among store associates.
- Apply loss prevention practices and immediately report any irregularities to store management.
