Dollarama is recruiting a proactive and organized Assistant Store Manager to join its team in Gatineau, QC. This role is ideal for retail leaders who enjoy coordinating store activities, supporting teams and ensuring a consistent and positive customer experience.

ABOUT THE JOB

As an Assistant Store Manager at Dollarama, you will work alongside the Store Manager to oversee daily store operations. You will help make sure that company policies are understood and applied, that inventory moves efficiently from the stockroom to the sales floor, and that merchandising standards are maintained. You may also act as Manager on Duty (MOD) when required and support recruitment and training activities for new employees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Store Manager with planning, coordinating and monitoring daily store operations.
  • Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) when assigned, ensuring smooth store functioning and quick decision-making.
  • Ensure that company rules, procedures and merchandising guidelines are communicated and followed by all team members.
  • Oversee inventory flow, including receiving, processing and replenishing goods on the sales floor.
  • Maintain store presentation and signage in line with Dollarama standards.
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding and training new store associates.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback and support to team members to drive performance and engagement.
  • Help manage opening and closing routines, including cash handling and security procedures.
  • Respond to customer issues in a professional and service-oriented manner.
  • Promote a safe, clean and well-organized work environment for customers and employees.
