Lawtons Drugs is looking for a patient-focused Pharmacist to join its community pharmacy in Halifax, NS. This Part-Time role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist who enjoys clinical practice in a retail setting and wants to make a positive impact on the health of local patients.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Pharmacist at Lawtons, you will be responsible for providing safe, accurate, and professional pharmacy services. You will verify and dispense prescriptions, deliver clinical programs, counsel patients and caregivers, and work closely with the pharmacy team to ensure an efficient workflow and an excellent customer experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide warm, compassionate, and professional care while acting in the patient’s best interest.
- Verify, prepare, and dispense prescriptions in compliance with provincial regulations and Lawtons policies.
- Offer medication counselling and education tailored to the needs and understanding of each patient.
- Deliver clinical services such as medication reviews, health risk assessments, adherence support and injections/immunizations where permitted.
- Create and maintain care plans, perform follow-ups and document all required clinical information accurately.
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians, assistants and other teammates to optimize workflow and customer service.
- Ensure accurate record keeping, privacy protection and compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
- Support pharmacy programs, promotions and community health initiatives as required.
