Lawtons Drugs is seeking a patient-focused Pharmacist to join its community pharmacy on Cole Harbour Road in Dartmouth, NS. This Full-Time role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist who enjoys delivering clinical services, building relationships with patients, and supporting the health of the local community.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Pharmacist at Lawtons, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care while ensuring prescriptions are dispensed safely and accurately. You will offer professional clinical services, collaborate with the pharmacy team, and help patients understand and manage their medications so they can make informed decisions about their health.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver warm, empathetic, and professional service while prioritizing patient-centred care and safety.
- Verify, prepare, and release prescriptions in accordance with provincial regulations and company policies.
- Provide counselling and education for new and ongoing therapies, adapting communication to patients’ needs and preferences.
- Develop and maintain care plans, perform follow-ups, and complete all required clinical documentation.
- Participate in clinical programs such as medication reviews, adherence services, health risk assessments, and immunizations.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the pharmacy network to provide a consistent, seamless pharmacy experience.
- Delegate and oversee technical functions completed by Registered Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants.
- Stay current with pharmacy practice standards, regulatory requirements, and industry trends, and attend training as needed.
- Comply with all Lawtons and Sobeys guidelines for quality, safety, loss prevention, and continuous quality improvement.
