Safeway is looking for a patient-focused Pharmacist to support its Tuxedo Safeway Pharmacy in Winnipeg, MB in a Full-Time split role. ABOUT THE JOB
As a Pharmacist at Safeway, you will deliver high-quality patient-centred care, including prescription verification, medication counseling and wellness services. In this split role, you will support Tuxedo Safeway Pharmacy and may provide coverage to nearby locations as needed, ensuring a consistent, professional pharmacy experience for patients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide patient counselling, medication reviews and clinical services such as disease state management and adherence support.
- Verify, prepare and release prescriptions in accordance with Manitoba legislation and company policies.
- Educate patients and caregivers on new and existing therapies, side effects and safe medication use.
- Develop and document care plans, follow up on outcomes and maintain accurate patient records.
- Administer injections and immunizations as permitted by provincial regulations.
- Participate in health and wellness programs and professional clinics that promote community health.
- Collaborate with Pharmacy Registered Technicians and Assistants to manage workflow and prioritize tasks.
- Support pharmacy programs and services that help patients meet their health needs.
- Stay current on pharmacy practice guidelines, regulatory requirements and industry developments.
- Follow all company policies, procedures and safety standards, including OHS and Loss Prevention.
