Safeway is hiring a reliable and customer-focused Deli Clerk to join its Marion & Braemar location in Winnipeg, MB. If you enjoy preparing fresh food, serving customers and working in a busy store environment, this Part-Time role could be a great fit. Candidates must be available to work between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Deli Clerk at Safeway, you will help prepare, package and merchandise deli products while providing friendly service at the counter. You will follow food safety standards, keep work areas clean and support the overall operations of the deli department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide courteous, efficient service to customers at the deli counter.
- Prepare and package deli items such as meats, cheeses, salads, sandwiches and hot foods.
- Slice, weigh, price and label products according to company procedures.
- Maintain clean, sanitized work areas, equipment and displays.
- Stock and rotate deli cases to ensure freshness and attractive presentation.
- Follow all food safety, health and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with receiving, storing and organizing deli deliveries.
- Work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
