ABOUT THE JOB
As a Meat Department Clerk at Safeway Transcona, you will support daily operations in the meat department by preparing, stocking and rotating fresh meat products, assisting customers with product selection and ensuring that department standards for food safety, cleanliness and presentation are consistently met.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide friendly, helpful and professional service to customers at the meat counter.
- Prepare, wrap, label and merchandise fresh meat products according to company standards.
- Stock refrigerated cases and displays, rotating products to ensure freshness and minimizing waste.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation and health regulations, including proper handling and storage of meat products.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including counters, equipment and storage coolers.
- Assist with receiving, checking and storing deliveries for the meat department.
- Follow all company procedures, policies and guidelines, including those related to workplace safety.
- Work collaboratively with other team members and support other tasks in the store as required.
