Sobeys is hiring a Pharmacist Regional Relief (Full-Time) to support its pharmacy operations across the Mississauga region. If you are a licensed pharmacist who enjoys clinical services, patient care and working across multiple store locations, this opportunity may be ideal for you.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Regional Relief Pharmacist, you will work across various locations to provide professional clinical services, ensure safe and accurate dispensing, and deliver excellent patient-centred care. You will support pharmacy operations during absences, peak periods and staffing transitions, maintaining high standards of service and regulatory compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work across multiple pharmacies, demonstrating empathy, professionalism and strong patient focus.
- Deliver high-quality clinical services including medication reviews, immunizations, health assessments and adherence support.
- Provide patient counselling and education tailored to individual needs.
- Verify prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness and technical accuracy in compliance with regulations.
- Initiate care plans, perform follow-ups and maintain accurate documentation.
- Engage in professional programs and collaborate with colleagues across locations.
- Participate in all areas of Fusion to ensure consistent pharmacy experiences.
- Supervise and delegate duties to Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy legislation, professional guidelines and clinical best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and Company standards (OH&S, Loss Prevention, CQI, etc.).
WHAT YOU HAVE TO OFFER
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
- Must be a Licensed Pharmacist in good standing in the province of Ontario.
- Injection and First Aid Certification.
- Previous community pharmacy experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and ability to work independently.
