ABOUT THE JOB
As a Pharmacist at Sobeys, you will provide professional clinical services, ensure safe and accurate dispensing and help patients manage their medications and health conditions. You will work closely with pharmacy teammates, physicians and other health-care providers to deliver high-quality care to the community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate warmth, empathy and compassion while acting in the patient’s best interest at all times.
- Provide excellent patient-centred care, customer service and workflow efficiency in the pharmacy.
- Deliver clinical services such as medication reviews, adherence support, health risk assessments and immunizations/vaccines where permitted.
- Counsel patients and caregivers on new and existing therapies, side effects and proper medication use.
- Initiate care plans, follow up with patients and complete accurate documentation.
- Participate in professional programs and collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive health and wellness services.
- Ensure prescription safety by prioritizing and delegating appropriate technical functions to Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants.
- Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy practice, regulatory requirements and industry trends; attend training as required.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements, company policies, processes and procedures (including OH&S, Loss Prevention and CQI).
