Sobeys is looking for a Part-Time Deli Clerk to join its store in Halifax, NS (Windsor Street location). This position is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service, working with fresh deli products and supporting a busy retail environment.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Deli Clerk is responsible for carrying out a wide range of duties in a professional, accurate and timely manner. You will prepare deli products, assist customers, maintain product freshness and help create a positive experience within the deli department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety policies and corporate guidelines.
- Greet customers and provide excellent service based on their needs.
- Prepare, package and label deli meats and specialty products.
- Process customer orders and assist with sampling programs.
- Maintain product rotation and merchandising standards.
- Handle and prepare deli items according to company procedures.
- Assist with training and onboarding of junior staff.
- Operate department equipment safely and properly.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area in accordance with company requirements.
- Perform additional tasks and support other departments as needed.
