Sobeys is hiring a Part-Time Cashier to join its store in Toronto, ON (Kipling / The Queensway location). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service, working with customers at the front end and supporting a busy retail environment.
ABOUT THE JOB
Cashiers provide customers with friendly, professional service and process customer orders in an accurate and efficient manner. You will handle transactions, assist with customer inquiries, support the Customer Service Desk and help create a positive experience at the store front end.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide excellent customer service while processing transactions at the checkout.
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer by following company cash-handling policies and procedures.
- Operate the Customer Service Desk, including lottery sales, refunds, bottle returns and general inquiries.
- Support the Front End department by stocking and maintaining merchandise and supplies.
- Participate in the training and support of junior front-end staff.
- Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards and operating procedures.
- Assist other departments and perform additional duties as required.
