Sobeys is hiring a Part-Time Cake Decorator to join its store in Calgary, AB (Nolan Hill location). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creativity, customer service and working with bakery products in a fast-paced retail environment.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Cake Decorator provides customers with friendly and professional service while preparing special order cakes and maintaining the presentation of the bakery department. This role supports customer engagement, maintains product quality and contributes to a welcoming shopping experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver exceptional customer service based on client needs.
- Prepare and decorate cakes for special orders and daily production.
- Assemble self-serve bakery trays and displays.
- Manage inventory, supplies and decorating materials.
- Participate in department training and skill development.
- Support bakery department operations and assist with general functions.
- Follow all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures and Company policies.
- Maintain clean, organized and safe work areas at all times.
- Perform administrative duties related to order processing and labeling.
- Other duties as required.
