Sobeys is hiring a Part-Time Bakery Clerk to join its store in Calgary, AB (Nolan Hill location). This position is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service, working with fresh bakery products and supporting daily store operations in a fast-paced environment.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Bakery Clerk is responsible for carrying out the full range of duties in the bakery department in a professional, accurate and timely manner. You will deliver exceptional customer service, support merchandising programs, follow food safety procedures and contribute to a positive experience for every customer.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety policies, corporate policies and other programs and initiatives.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer needs in the bakery department.
- Keep work areas, equipment and displays clean, safe and presentable at all times.
- Process customer bakery orders and requests.
- Perform program execution and merchandising of bakery products.
- Handle and prepare bakery products as required.
- Increase department sales by actively promoting featured bakery items.
- Participate in the training of junior staff where required.
- Order and receive stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures.
- Process department shrink and follow company policies to minimize loss.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment as per Company requirements.
- Perform other duties as required.
