ABOUT THE JOB
The Meat Assistant works closely with the meat department team to help prepare products for sale, keep displays stocked and attractive, and support safe food handling practices. This position is hands-on and ideal for candidates who enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wrap, label, and package meat products using approved equipment and procedures.
- Stock and rotate products to ensure freshness and proper presentation.
- Assist with operating department equipment such as meat grinders under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment throughout the day.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature control standards.
- Support inventory handling, including moving product within coolers and sales areas.
- Provide courteous and timely assistance to Costco members when needed.
