Costco is hiring an Electronics / Majors Sales Assistant to support sales operations in the electronics and major appliances area at its Laval, Quebec warehouse. This role focuses on assisting members, demonstrating products, and maintaining high merchandising standards.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Electronics / Majors Sales Assistant helps members by answering questions, demonstrating products, and ensuring the electronics department is well stocked, organized, and maintained according to Costco standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides prompt and courteous member service.
- Answers member questions and demonstrates electronics and major appliances.
- Assists members in loading purchased items into carts.
- Maintains current knowledge of technology and sales trends.
- Returns merchandise and product reviews to maintain current knowledge of products.
- Communicates with Area Manager regarding quality, sales, price, delivery, and promotion of merchandise.
- Follows merchandising standards and practices.
- Sets up, cleans, and maintains product displays.
- Aligns and faces product to front, collects and returns stray items, and stocks to maintain high product levels.
- Checks and approves product for member returns.
- Makes signs and checks accuracy of product signage and marking.
- Participates in merchandising moves and reviews forklift drivers to place items in the aisles for stocking.
- Organizes security item lock-up and sweeps sales floor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- No license or certification required.
- Sales or electronics experience is an asset.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
