ABOUT THE JOB
The Member Service Assistant plays a key role at the warehouse entrance and throughout the building, ensuring a safe environment, verifying memberships, and assisting members with professionalism and courtesy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducts hourly warehouse safety and security checks.
- Walks the warehouse and perimeter to identify safety or security concerns.
- Completes inspection forms and reports issues to the duty manager.
- Welcomes members entering the warehouse, approaches, smiles, and makes eye contact.
- Verifies membership cards and keeps entrance areas clean.
- Uses a handheld counter to count members entering the warehouse.
- Reports half-hourly counts to Front End and reconciles counts weekly.
- Monitors warehouse access and reports arrival of armored transport vehicles.
- Observes armored deposit pick-up and secures register drawers.
- Greets exiting members and checks receipts for accuracy and validity.
- Provides assistance for loading, shopping, and cart returns.
- Watches after-hours exits and reports door access issues.
- Reports suspicious activity to the duty manager and local police if necessary.
