ABOUT THE JOB

As a Loss Prevention Clerk at Costco, you will monitor warehouse activity, investigate potential theft, and work closely with management and law enforcement when necessary. This position requires strong observation skills, professionalism, and attention to detail.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor the warehouse and perimeter for up to 8 hours a day to ensure safety and security.
  • Observe, detect, prevent, and apprehend shoplifters when warranted.
  • Investigate incidents involving internal and external theft.
  • Prepare detailed reports for internal use and potential prosecution.
  • Maintain evidence collected and reports from investigations.
  • Testify in court concerning theft investigations when required.
  • Follow Costco loss prevention procedures and applicable laws.
  • Attend meetings and training related to loss prevention practices.
  • Communicate with other Costco Loss Prevention Clerks and team members regarding current threats and trends.
  • Assist in other areas of the warehouse as necessary.
