ABOUT THE JOB
As a Meat Assistant, you will assist with wrapping, labeling, stocking, and maintaining meat products. You will help ensure quality standards, food safety compliance, and efficient department operations while delivering friendly and professional member service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wrap and label meat products using wrapping machines.
- Stock display cases and rotate products according to freshness standards.
- Inspect and sanitize equipment prior to use.
- Load trays of meat from large wheeled racks into wrapping machines.
- Apply labels, price prints, and product tags accurately.
- Operate meat grinders and check product quality.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and implements.
- Maintain cleanliness of the department throughout the shift.
- Provide prompt and courteous service to Costco members.
- Assist in other warehouse areas as required.
