ABOUT THE JOB
As a Maintenance Assistant at Costco, you will provide janitorial and general maintenance support across the warehouse, including public areas, production spaces, and staff facilities. This role requires attention to detail, physical activity, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean offices, break rooms, restrooms, production floors, and common areas.
- Empty trash and cardboard compactors throughout the facility.
- Operate scrubber machines and perform floor maintenance.
- Respond promptly to clean-up needs and spills.
- Clean light fixtures, replace light bulbs, wash windows, and vacuum rafters.
- Assist with grounds maintenance such as sweeping, picking up litter, and snow removal.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and restock as needed.
- Receive and place maintenance and cleaning supplies in appropriate storage areas.
- Follow all safety, security, and sanitation procedures.
- Provide courteous service to members, employees, and suppliers.
- Assist with internal inventory and basic purchasing tasks when required.
- Support other areas of the warehouse as needed.
