ABOUT THE JOB
As a Tire Installer at Costco, you will balance, install, and rotate tires for members, perform tire repairs, and support Tire Centre operations. You will assist members with tire purchases, provide service recommendations, and ensure all work meets safety and Tire Industry Standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Balance, install, and rotate tires; stock, tag, and organize tires on the sales floor.
- Repair flat tires and reset vehicle TPMS sensors as required.
- Drive member vehicles into service bays and operate hydraulic hoists.
- Remove and install tires using mounting machines; fill tires with nitrogen where applicable.
- Use wheel balancers and attach wheel weights to ensure proper balance.
- Reset and relearn vehicle TPMS sensors using Costco-supplied tools.
- Perform torque checks, authorize vehicle release, and return vehicles to the lot.
- Assist members with tire needs, answer questions, and provide product recommendations.
- Process orders, payments, warranty returns, and related paperwork accurately.
- Maintain a clean and safe Tire Centre by sweeping, mopping, and organizing work areas.
- Stock tires according to merchandising plans and assist with inventory coordination.
- Support propane refills or purchases where applicable, following safety guidelines.
- Assist in other warehouse areas as needed.
