ABOUT THE JOB
As a Tire Installer at Costco, you will balance, install, and rotate tires, repair flats, reset TPMS sensors, and assist members with tire purchases and service recommendations. You will operate tire and wheel equipment, follow Tire Industry Standards, and ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently while delivering prompt and courteous member service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, balance, rotate, and repair tires according to Tire Industry Standards.
- Locate member vehicles, inspect for damage, and drive vehicles into service bays.
- Remove wheels using impact tools and mount tires using wheel mounting machines.
- Install or reset TPMS sensors and inflate tires with nitrogen as required.
- Balance wheels using computerized balancers and attach wheel weights.
- Perform tire repairs, torque checks, and vehicle safety inspections.
- Reset and relearn TPMS sensors using Costco-supplied tools.
- Assist members with tire selections, answer questions, and make product recommendations.
- Process invoices, payments, warranty returns, and service documentation.
- Tag, stock, and organize tires in the Tire Centre and sales area.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas by sweeping, mopping, wiping, and organizing tools.
- Assist with propane refills where applicable, following safety procedures.
- Communicate with Tire Centre management and receiving departments regarding inventory and orders.
- Provide prompt, professional, and courteous member service at all times.
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed.
